Whether we like it or not, change or shift, is the only constant element of our life. How we deal with the shifts in our life is determines the outcome that we get. Shift happens in our life, in our family, in our work, in our business.

By increasing our awareness of what is happening around us, we have a choice whether to look at it with a lot of happiness, a lot of fear, a lot of anger, or we can choose to look at it differently.

Once we have the awareness to be able to shift, this ability can free us from many things that may control us.

Continual Life Shift is about applying a set of techniques to help people shift their life and become more successful - at work, in relationships, in business, etc. It is based on the 8 elements of the Wheel of Work. You rate yourself on a scale of 0 to 10.

One of the elements of the Wheel of Work is leadership. On a scale from 0 to 10, how would you rate yourself as a leader? Are you a 0, meaning you're really horrible. Or are you a 10, meaning you're one of the best leaders you might know. Or are you a 5 or a 6?

Once you've given yourself a score, not only do you know your current point, you can also start being very strategic, very focused, and very clear, about where you can improve. Whenever we focus on something, we tend to become very good at it.

Unless you actually set that stake in the ground, it's pretty hard to ask how to become an even better leader. And once you start asking how to become an even better leader, it's amazing how the mind would start figuring out some ways: whether it's going to be some reading, whether it's going to get some mentoring, whether it's going to be learning how to become a better speaker. It's all these strategies that then become clear that you want to get better.

Different elements of the Wheel of Work would come into play at different times of your life. What you would like to focus on improving may differ depending on where you are in your life at a given time.

It's important to remember that balance is an important aspect of a successful life. If you concentrate on only one element while neglecting the others, the you wouldn't get an optimal outcome.

For example, let's take it to the extreme and everything that you're doing is about leadership. Everything you focus on is on leadership. In that month you might become a good leader. Yet perhaps you've forgotten about something else. May be you've forgotten about your health and wellness. And guess what? If you're not very fit, if you're not very healthy, eventually it will catch up to you. You can't be a good leader.

While you're working on improving any aspects of your life, beware of that little voice in your head. That little voice in your head is often ego.

Does that little voice in your head speak to you nicely or does it speak to you in a very harsh, mean, tone? And does it use mean words like you're stupid, or you're dumb, or you're ugly? And that would be the key thing.

Any time that you stumble, that little voice is probably going to be very, very loud. Whenever that little voice speaks to you in a negative way, you just stop it. Say, stop. Be nice. Stop. Be nice.

By doing so, you start allowing that little voice be your friend instead of your enemy. That little voice can may be a little bit more cheerful, a little bit more loving, a little bit more nurturing. When that little voice becomes your friend, you life is going to become better. You'll have a huge shift.
